Chronic stress, like sudden stressful situations, can affect the body in a great many ways:

Openly drawing attention to oneself, to one's outward manifestations and one's feelings, by every means available (approved of or not). A loud, vivid way of showing oneself, a free expression of one's feelings. Unease whenever one goes unnoticed and there is no audience. A typical line: “Why are you ignoring me, why don't you notice me?” (it troubles them). A search for over-provision — not only with attention, but in every other area as well, finances included.
