Enjoyed that? Put simply, a person's psyche is made up of several dimensions:
- people are born introverts or extraverts
- in each of us there is a dominant masculine or feminine principle (anima or animus, an active or a passive life position)
- these two dimensions (2 × 2 = 4) give one of the four temperaments: sanguine, melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic
- in the first months of life we settle into one of the three Ego types, oriented towards contact with Reality, Experiencing or Cognition
- and that is how the 12 personality types come about
