How to strengthen your health and fill yourself with energy for the whole day

I am sure you understand that feeling well is the key both to high performance and to success in general.

And in order to act, you simply need that state in which you are full of energy and feel a constant surge of strength — the state that lets you not only work at full stretch but also, on the whole, live a happy and rich life.

Promise yourself that you will follow this advice for at least 10 days, and you will no longer be able to live any other way, because the feeling of being full of energy and able to do more and better is like nothing else! Only please do not tell me that you “have no time for this” …just do it!)

  1. Start the day with buckwheat porridge.

You can, of course, start with porridge oats, or with fried eggs, or with any other food rich in protein. This stabilises your blood sugar level, you will feel full for longer and you will not need an extra snack during the day.

  1. Eat nuts.

Food fashions come and go, but nuts are relevant at any time. They are a reliable and powerful source of protein and of heart-friendly omega-3 fatty acids. A handful of nuts is enough to keep your calories and your energy at the right level.

  1. Move more

When we sit, our metabolism drops below its usual level and comes close to the level of sleep. So, for instance, swap 30 minutes of your regular television watching for a walk. Add some physical activity between work and household chores. Park your car as far from the office as you can and walk part of the way. Take the stairs rather than the lift (within reason). At home, put on some music and… dance. You can use three all-purpose exercises every day. Push-ups. Squats. Sit-ups.

  1. A “reboot”

Plan 5-minute breaks for a “reboot”, a change of activity during the day. Have a cup of tea… take a stroll… cover your eyes with your palms. Do the thing we usually put off until the end of the working day.

  1. Begin or end your day with meditation

Sit quietly, focusing on your breathing, for five or ten minutes.

Good health to you! And high performance.
