A straight spine. Day 14

A straight spine. Day 14

We spend less and less of our lives on our feet. From today on, start standing more, especially when you work at the computer.

Move your laptop or computer onto a high table or a standing desk. You can also have lunch, drink your coffee, hold meetings or take calls standing up. Another option is to spend 15 minutes of every hour on your feet If there is no suitable table or high desk at your workplace, stack up some books or make some other kind of stand on the desk, so that your computer sits higher.

From the third week on, your programme for building a beautiful posture and finding your balance looks like this:

  • Spinal breathing, in three versions. Straight ahead, palms clenched into fists. Hands behind the head, fingers interlocked. Plus small turns of the torso to the right and to the left with every in-breath. We do each version for 1 minute — 3 minutes in all.
  • Opening the chest — 2 minutes. As you do it, add a spreading of the hips. That is, as you arch back, let the knees move apart. Coming back to the starting position, bring them together again.
  • The Japanese bow — 2 minutes.

We do this set every morning. The remaining exercises we do during the day or in the evening.

You can check how the exercises are done, get feedback and have your accumulated questions answered at our live meetings. The next meeting takes place today, 14 January at 19:00 Moscow time at the "Freud's Legacy" club — JOIN US!

Take care and stay healthy!

You can also book a one-to-one Assessment session on psychosomatics and health practices (for club residents — FREE OF CHARGE)
