Fixing your posture and releasing the armour #6

Fixing your posture and releasing the armour #6

Today's programme for correcting your posture and restoring your vertical balance looks like this: 1 minute of the Japanese bow, 2 minutes of spinal cord breathing (SCB) and 2 minutes of opening the chest (or 1 minute twice a day). After the exercise you do sitting on a chair, be sure to do 2 minutes of grounding, and then add 2 minutes of freeing the neck (an extra version of SCB) to your set. The point of this exercise is to activate the muscles of the back, the shoulder girdle and the neck in different ways, and also to help you become more aware of your body during different movements.

And do not forget to check your posture from time to time, see Day one

How to do it

Stand up straight, put your hands on the back of your head and interlace your fingers.

Take a deep breath in — look up, open your elbows out and open your chest.

As you breathe out — round your back, bring your elbows together and “squeeze out” not only the air that is left, but all the negativity you have stored up.

Your knees stay slightly bent throughout the exercise.

This is practically spinal cord breathing, only in an extended version.

It will help your nervous system move from an overloaded state into a relaxed one and find its balance.

Breathe in — look up. Feel the energy rise! Open your lungs and your heart! As you breathe out — round your back, bring your elbows together and lengthen your neck. As you breathe out, squeeze everything unnecessary and stale out of your body and out of your life.

Calm and energy flow through your body.

Feel the movement in your neck and in your spine. Breathe in the fullness of life and breathe out the tiredness.

That is all for today. See you at the next session. Take care of yourself and stay well!
