Your posture: how to fix it and find your balance

We carry on with our 30-day challenge for fixing your posture.

We are starting the programme of the second week. A reminder: the meeting that sums up the two weeks takes place on Tuesday, 14 January at 19:00 Moscow time >>> join the meeting

The goal of the second week is to strengthen the postural muscles while keeping your posture and the awareness of your body. Plus the daily minimum of exercises

  • 2 minutes — the Japanese bow;
  • 2 minutes — SCB (spinal cord breathing)
  • 2 minutes — Grounding (from day 11 replace it with Opening the chest)

Day 8: the plank

Every morning during the second week: before you do the set of exercises (see above), do 2 to 3 repetitions of the high plank (one repetition is about 10 breathing cycles). The high plank asks you to concentrate on the position of your spine, and it also works the abdominal muscles, which are extremely important for holding a correct posture.

How to do it?

  1. Start in a press-up position. Your arms are straight, shoulder-width apart. Do not pull your head in (move your shoulders away from your ears))
  2. Make sure your chest does not sag and your elbows are straight.
  3. Press your heels back a little, stretching the muscles of your legs slightly.
  4. Do 2–3 repetitions, 10 breaths in and out for each cycle.

Remember that the exercises should bring you joy and should not cause pain or discomfort!

See you tomorrow, take care of yourself and stay well!
