Check your posture. Day one
This week is given over to postures and exercises, and to building the habit of holding yourself upright on purpose. You will learn which position of the body helps you lengthen the spine and release the tension you have most likely been storing up over the past few years.
How to check your posture:
1. Stand with your back to a wall and place your heels 15 cm away from it. Your shoulder blades and your buttocks should be touching the wall.
2. Measure the gap between your neck and the wall, and the gap between your lower back and the wall. Both gaps should be about 5 centimetres. A wider gap — or a head that is tilted well forward — points to problems with your posture and possible curvature of the spine.

Hold your correct posture for the rest of the day, check it every few hours and keep it in mind while you walk.
As my colleague Dr Austin Davis of Life Chiropractic SF puts it:
"Awareness is what matters most, especially when it comes to posture"
Take care and stay healthy! See you at the next session
