The frustration personality type

What is the frustration personality type afraid of? You have probably worked it out already:

  1. Achievement, completion, endings, dotting every i, having anything clearly pinned down.
  2. Abrupt, sudden, ill-considered changes, hasty decisions, being presented with a fait accompli, having to react fast.
  3. Formality, responsibility, producing facts and evidence.

They very much dislike it when other types start showering them with facts or irrefutable logical arguments against them and their behaviour (they have been “caught”). “You have just poured all that out, and now it has to be put somewhere. And more often than not the fact is an unpleasant one for me — take it away, or better still, never bring it up again! That wasn’t me.”

An example of the frustration type is the character played by Bronevoy — Arkady Varlamovich Velyurov in the film “Pokrovsky Gate”: “Note that it wasn’t me who suggested it!”

And they are also afraid that everything will come to an end. As long as I am alive and simply looking at a thing, it exists. The moment I name a thing and define it, it becomes less important, less valuable, destructible. The frustration Chinese say that “words are a trap for thoughts”.

And it is frightening to see something through to the end. The heart of it is this: if everything is spelled out, I will no longer be needed in this system. Every frustration type dreams of building a business that runs without his taking part in it. And on the other hand, that would make him redundant. Hence the fear of responsibility, of accepting the results of his own actions and decisions.
