Complete nonsense. There is a common misconception that for a perfect relationship people have to be alike. And that this supposedly gives them complete mutual understanding, agreement and harmony. In reality, of course, it does not work that way.

When two sanguines of different personality types meet, a certain mutual understanding arises between them — but so does competition for public attention (since they both need it). The result is a competitive couple, permanently locked in a hidden struggle.

Take the example from the 2019 film ‘Avengers: Endgame’, in which two characters, Thor and Star-Lord, compete over which of them is in charge. Both characters are sanguines, only of different personality types:
- Star-Lord — the hysteroid personality type
- Thor — the narcissistic personality type
And they argue in order to get public attention. Which their companions gladly give them, offering to let them settle it with knives. A wonderful metaphor for the relationship between a sanguine man and a sanguine woman!
